December 14, 2014 – Exodus: Gods and Kings, a new film just hitting the scene knocked out Hunger Games at the weekend when it raked-in $24.5 million from Box Office sales after passing through 3, 503 cinema outfit in the US to remain the toast of movie buffs.
Exodus: Gods and Kings Knocks Off Hunger Games in Weeknd Sales
A production of Fox Studios, Exodus put together with the sum of $140 million made an average of $6million in each of the viewing centres where it was exhibited.
The Hunger Games: Monkingjay which was number 1 on the scene last week was pushed to the second position when sales dropped to $13.2 million. This notwithstanding, the film is cruising home with mega profit after making a whopping sum of $277.398 million in four weeks of hitting the box office. It was put together with the sum of $125 million.
Penguins of Madagascar which was number 2 last week settled down in number 3 with sales dropping to $7.3 million. At number 4 is Top Five, another new film put together by Paramount Pictures. The movie made $7.210 million from the 979 theatre where it made a debut in weekend sales.
Big Hero 6 rests comfortable in number 6 with sales of $6.145 million.
Nevertheless, Big Heroes has moved into the league of films making it big when sales rallied to $185.325million after having a nice showing in 2,088 theatres in the past six weeks. It was put together with the sum of $165 million.
Other new films are Inherent Vice, Back in Time and Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles.
