November 6, 2014 – Not less than N4.2 million has been spent by the Nigerian Army to rehabilitate 42 people suspected to be members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
Military Rehabilitates 42 Suspected Boko Haram Members With N4.2 m
According to Deputy Director Army Public Relations of the 7th Mechanised Division, Col. Sanni Usman, the 42 men were arrested at various locations in Maiduguri and Borno State but upon investigation found to have no links with members of the sect.
The suspects were today released to the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima by Usman.
While handing them over to the governor, Usman announced a donation of N4.2 million to be shared at N100,000 per head from the Nigerian Army to help rehabilitate and reintegrate them into the society.
