November 18, 2014 – Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has re-opened murder cases against the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Jide Awe and a members of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Kehinde Boluwade among others.
Fayose Reopens Murder Case Against Ekiti State Chairman Of APC
The former governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi had entered no case submission against the suspects.
In a statement, Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Owoseni Ajayi, said the state government had revoked the noelle prosecui earlier entered in the cases by the former administration of Dr Kayode Fayemi.
Awe and three others were dragged before the court for the murder of Mr. Ayo Jeje and Mrs. Juliana Adewumi in Erijiyan-Ekiti on March 31, 2013.
Also, Boluwade and four others were charged to court for the murder of Mr. Foluso Ogundare in Emure-Ekiti on November 3, 2013.
Only last week, Sefiu Owonifari and Awolope Busuyi were remanded in prison by Magistrate Modupe Afeniforo, over the Erijiyan-Ekiti case.
