Islamic State Fighters in More Daring Attacks, Engage Kurdish Fighters in Streets

October 6, 2014 – Islamic State fighters operating in the Syrian-Turkey border were more daring today when they engage Syrian Kurd fighters in street fight in Kobane.

We gathered that Kudish IS fighters entered the town and hoisted their flag in a bid to declare Islamic caliphate, forcing many civilians to flee the town to avoid been hit.

BBC reported that at least 160,000 Syrians, mainly Kurds have fled the town.
Idriss Nissan told the BBC reporter that in a matter of days, the Kobane will fall due to heavy presence of IS fighters in the area and that IS is now in full control of Mistenur.

IS has grown into a major headache forcing coalition of Western allies lead by United States to carry out several strikes in their area of operation. The attacks have not deterred the group which has been able to behead at least two US soldiers in retaliation for air strikes.
