Sales at the box office continued on an impressive not at the weekend even when it fell short of the $90 million mark. Nevertheless, Blended which is three weeks old at the big screen made it into the top five films at the box office.
Maleficent Knocks-out X-Men in Box Office Sales
Godzilla which was number 2 last week was pushed to the forth position when sales dropped to $12.225 million after passing through 3,501 viewing centres in the US to make it to number 4 in box office sales .
At number 3 is a new film, A Million Ways to Die in the West. Put together by Universal Studios, the film made $17.069 million from 3, 158 theaters in the US to make it to the third position on the chart. Just ahead in number 2 is X-Men: Days of Future Past which was number one last week. X-Men slipped into the second spot when sales dropped to $32.600 million from 4,001 theaters in the US to make it to the second position on the chart.
But the most patronized movie at the box office was Maleficent, put together by Buena Vista. The movie returned $70 million to the producers after passing through 3,948 theaters in the US to emerge as the best film of the week in box office sales.
