Students of the Lagos State University on Thursday evening mobilized hundreds of students to the office of the Lagos State Governor in a bid to press home their demands for reduction in school fees in state university.

The Babatunde Fashola-led Lagos State Government had increased tuition fees by over 750 to 1000 percent fueling crisis in the university.

The students who stormed the office with two luxury buses, operated by the Bus Rapid Scheme(BRT) and five other 18 seater buses barricaded office of the governor with the buses and sat in front of the gate chanting war songs.

They also mobilized a sound set with a generating sect to power the sound system, blaring songs of the late Afrobeat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

The students also mobilized firewood, with the girls filtering beans when they said they will cook in front of the gate to feed themselves while they pass the night in outside.

They students have vowed to spend the night and remain on that spot until the Lagos State Governor, reduces their tuition fee to N46, 500 flat for every students in the school.

Among the students are pregnant women, who have vowed to spend the night on the spot.
