Lagos State government has said it is planning an upward review of salaries for staff as agreed with labour unions in the state.

Commissioner for the Establishment, Training and Pension, Mrs. Florence Modupeola Oguntuase made the revelation at the 2014 Lagos State Joint Public Service negotiating Council bi-annual meeting in Lagos.

She said the upward review of the salary has matured because it has been over three years since the last increment adding that a proposal has already been prepared but that it is yet to be submitted to the state executive council.

Oguntuase explained that the seeming rancour at the state University (LASU) is under consideration, noting that a committee inaugurated by the state executive council has been meeting with the different stakeholders to fine tune the final document.
