Armed Gangs Massacre 42 in Borno State

Armed gangs suspected to be members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram on Thursday massacred at least 42 people in Borno State, police sources have said.

We gathered the armed men were clad in military uniform and pretended as if they were on a mission to help the villagers before they ended up killing the unsuspecting civilians.

Boko Haram has stepped up attack in recent times using several tactics to deceive and kill Nigerians in north-eastern state of Borno.

The sect stepped up the killing even as it is yet to release over 200 girls abducted from Borno State Government run Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok. The girls have been kept for more than 51 days now.
