Delectable actress, Omoni Oboli emerged Best Actress at the just concluded Zuma Film Festival in Abuja, while Mojeed Michael was crowned Best Actor.

Rauf and Harp, an Egyptian film picked Best Foreign Movie. The best student film award went to Misriam Kwairanga with the film titled “Forlorn’’. Ibrahim Buba won Best pictures with the film, Blood and Henna.
Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director, Nigerian Film Corporation, Dr. Danjuma Dadu explained that the corporation is re-positioning the movie industry for wealth creation. He said that NFC was building the movie industry to compete globally in terms of wealth creation and generation of employment for the teeming youths in the country.
He described filmmaking as an economic venture that could provide the fastest revenue for any country.
In his remark, the Emir of Askira, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibn Mohammadu Askirama, said NFC was being repositioned to take the lead in the production of major movies in the country.He called on the government to provide a specialised fund for practitioners to rely on in production of movies. Askirama called for the equipping of the film village with modern film gadgets.
Present at the events were the Director-General of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Ms Patricia Bala, film markers, actors, actresses, diplomats and some top government functionaries.
