The Lagos State Government said it has canceled the May edition of the monthly environmental sanitation slatted for May 31, 2014.

In a statement , Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, said the state canceled the exercise to enable students sitting for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) to move from their homes to where they will sit for the exams.

He said that not allowing students to take part in the scheduled examination amounts to mortgaging the future of the youths who are leaders of tomorrow.

He advised residents of the state to use the period to clean their environment, stressing good health is wealth ad next to Godliness.
