Boko Haram Kidnaps Emirs, Timta, Mamza

Two Emirs, the Emir of Gworzo, Alhaji Idrisa Timta and the Emir of Uba, Alhaji Ismaila Mamza were on Friday kidnapped by the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram.

We gathered that they were kidnapped on their way to Gombe State where they will attend the funeral ceremony of the late Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, who passed on in London on Tuesday.

Gworzo has come under attack in recent past by the sect which has unleashed mayhem on several villages in Borno.

This is the first time the sect is targeting emirs in the region in what analysts believe is calculated to put fears in the emirs in the region to prevent them from cooperating with the Federal Government in attempt to halt carnage unleashed by the sect in the North-East state.
