Many who have disregarded parental advice in matters relating to marriage have very sad tale to tell.
What John Dumelo Lost Neglecting his Mother in ‘Letter to My Mother’
Mike played by John Dumelo has very sad tale to tell in the film, LETTER TO MY MOTHER, a movie centred on the lifestyle of Mike who opts to get married to his lover Angie against the wish of Mabel, his mother. Only for him to discover shortly after the death of her mother that Angie was not only carrying a baby for his bosom friend Kay but also connived with Kay and Tim to defraud him.
He decides to eliminate both of them. Mike is sentenced to solitary confinement for exhibiting traits common to those with mental ailment. He is withdrawn and sought solace in myriads of letters to his late mother.
Too late you might say. Rated 18 by the National Film and Video Censors Board, Letter to My Mother is indeed a pathetic film with storyline designed to teach good lessons on the limit of trust and wisdom in taking a second look at counsel, more so when it is from somebody who truly loves us.
Element of flashback in the film tends to make the story very confusing. Directed by Pascal Amanfo, John Dumelo played Mike, Kafui Danku played Angie, Paulina Oduro played Mabel, Eddie Watson Played Kay while Ambrose Feeman played Tim.
