Rainstorm Destroys 84 Houses in Dorowa, Plateau State

A whirlwind accompanied by heavy downpour on Saturday destroyed 84 houses in Dorowa Village, Barkin Ladi Local Government, Plateau State rendering many homeless.

Chairman of the Local Government, Emmanuel Loman confirmed that 84 houses were affected among which were shops, three churches and a police station.

The Chairman who spoke to journalists after an assessment called on the state government and the National Emergency Management Authority)NEMA) to come to the rescue of the victims.

He also called for donation from well -meaning Nigerians to cushion in the effect of the storm on residents.
