Police Affairs Minister Condoles with Sambo over Loss of Brother
The deceased who is one of the best pilots in Nigeria died on Sunday in a ghastly motor accident on the Abuja Airport Road.
In a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Minister, Mr. Wale Akinola, the Minister described the deceased as a very intelligent and one of the greatest pilots the country has ever produced, adding that his experience and intelligence would be greatly missed by Nigerians, especially in the aviation sector.
“I got the news of the death of Vice President’s younger brother with a rude shock. It is very devastating and saddening that Nigeria lost Mr. Sabo Sambo when his service and experience is most needed even after his retirement as a pilot. But since death is inevitable, all mortals will die at their appointed time given to them by their Creator.
“The deceased left an exemplary life before he breathed his last and his achievements as a pilot will always be remembered because it is on record that he was one of the most experienced pilots in Nigeria. The people of the country will continue to remember him for his contributions to the aviation industry while he was alive. Indeed Nigeria has lost one of her best pilots and officers of a very high repute.
“I want to pray Almighty God to give our Vice President Namadi Sambo, the deceased’s immediate family and the entire citizens of the country the fortitude to bear the loss and I pray Allaah to grant him Al-janah Fridaus and forgive him his shortcomings.
