The National Film and Video Censors (NFVCB), has verified and approved 74 films for the month of March, 2014. Out of the 74 films, 40 were classified ’15’ while 34 were rated ’18’.

Acting Head, Corporate Affairs, NFVCB, Mr. Caesar Kagho, said 23 of the movies were denominated in English, 27 in Yoruba, 19 in Hausa, four in Bini while one is in Urhobo.
He explained that among the 40 movies rated “15” are “Visitor” (English), “Adebimpe” (Yoruba), “Dan Tasi” (Hausa), “Owena” (Urhorobo), “Ovibiagikpa” (Bini), “Tijo Terin” (Yoruba), “Ulaaka” (English), “Jini Daya” (Hausa), and “Little Calabash” (English).
He noted that among the 34 movies classified “18” are “Succubus” (English), “Owo Agbara” (Yoruba), “Akin kishi” (Hausa), “Ero-Nokhua” (Bini), and “Fiscal Explosion” (English).
Other films approved include: “Wutar kara” (Hausa), “Never Again” (English), “Olewu” (Yoruba), “Iredia Ube Haly” (Bini), “Malami Mata” (Hausa), “Joshua of the State” (English) “Tijo Terin” (Yoruba), “Ema muo” (Bini), “Emere” (Yoruba), “Fansa” (Hausa), “Accident” (English).
The classification categories range from “15 – 18” adding that films rated “15” contain strong language, violence, ritual while those rated “18” have content dealing with violence, ritual and strong language.
