Minister for Police Affairs, Alhaji Abdul jelili Adesiyan has described as barbaric, callous and ungodly Monday’s motor park explosion that killed over 70 people in Nyanya area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Attack on Nyanya Park is Callous, Barbaric – Adesiyan
The minister said the barbaric incident will not deter the Federal Government from its strong-willed determination to overcome those who do not mean well for the nation.
He said he will do everything possible to ensure the issue of Boko Haram is nipped to the bud and that he will not abandon his unrelenting war against insecurity in the country.
“It is very sad and disheartening that scores of people were killed today in a bomb explosion that rocked a motor park in Nyanya area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“I receive the news with utmost shock and it is very devastating that Boko Haram’s attacks have killed innocent Nigerians and rendered several others homeless in recent time. People should stop killing others in the name of God because Allah does not permit killing as being canvassed by the Boko Haram agents. Whoever kills fellow human being will have the wrath of God as He frowns at unjust shedding of innocent blood.
“We can no longer afford to allow this ugly incident to continue because the President is keen about the safety of the entire citizenry.
Adesiyan said that the Federal Government will continue to do all that is required to ensure the safety of lives and property of the entire citizenry.
The minister, therefore, commiserated with the victims of the Nyanya explosions, their families and friends, and assured the Nigerians of the Federal Government’s continued support.
