Sales at the box office rebounded on a positive note at the weekend with the leading film crossing the $40 million mark.
With $45.050 Million, Rise of an Empire, Lifts US Box Office
Nevertheless, Son of God which was number 2 last week, was pushed to number 5. A production of Fox Studios, Son of God made $10 million after passing through 3,271 cinema outfits in the US to retain the fifth position on the chart.
The Lego Movie which has occupied the top five position on the chart in the last five weeks was pushed to number 4 after scoping $11.5 million from 3,290 film-viewing centres in the US to get to that spot on the chart. The Lego Movie is a product of Warner Brothers.
Just ahead at number 3 is Non- Stop, which was number one the previous week. The movie grossed $15.378 million after passing through 3,113 theatres in the US to make it to number 3 on the chart.
At number 2 is a new film, Mr. Peabody & Sherman put together by Fox Studio. That film made $32.5 million in 3,934 outfits where it was exhibited in the US to hit the second place on the US chart.
And then, the most patronized movie at the weekend is 300: Rise of An Empire, produced by Warner Brothers. It rewarded the markers with a total sum of $45.050 million from the 3,470 cinemas where it was screened in the US to retain Nos.1 at the US box office.
300: Rise of An Empire is a big budget film, put together with the sum of $110 million yet it was able to make over $45 million in just one week at the box office.
