The figures dropped a little lower compared with the highest figures obtained at the US box office the previous week, but good enough for filmmakers to make some returns on investment.
Non-Stop Outclasses Lego Movies at Box Office
Coming behind in the fifth position was 3 Days to Kill which is just two weeks at the box office. A production of Relativity Studios, the film made $4.9 million after passing through 2,872 theatres in the US to make it to number 5 on the chart.
Just ahead in the 4th position is The Monuments Men. A production of Sony Pictures, the film scooped $5 million after going through 3,002 film viewing centres in the US to hit number 4 on the chart. The Lego Movie which was number One in the last two weeks was pushed to number 3 at the box office. Put together by Warner Brothers, the film grossed $21.015 million after passing through 3,770 theatres in the US to get to that spot on the chart.
Son of God, which is a new comer at the box office rallied to the 2nd position after making $26.5 million from 3,260 cinemas where it was exhibited in the US. Son of God is a production of Sony Pictures. But the most patronized movie at the box office during the week was Non-Stop, a new film put together by Universal Pictures.
Non-Stop rewarded the filmmakers with the sum of $30.019 million after having a nice outing in 3,090 theatres in the US to hit the first position on the chart. It will interest you to know that Non-Stop was put together with the sum of $50 million yet it made $30.019 million in just one week at the box office.
