Sales at the box office was quite impressive during the week after a lull of about three weeks. God’s Not Dead, put together by Freestyle studios made it to the top five at the box office after amassing $8.564 million from 780 film viewing centres where it was exhibited to make it to number 5 on the chart.

300:Rise of an Empire is number 4. Put together by Warner Brothers, the film made $8.665 million after passing through 3,085 viewing centres in the US to retain number 4 at the big screen. Mr. Peabody & Sherman which was number one last week was pushed to number 3 this week when sales dropped to $11.7 million at the box office.

Put together by Fox Studios, Peabody & Sherman made over 11 million Dollars from 3,607 film viewing centres in the US to retain number 3 on the chart.

Standing tall at number 2 is a new comer, Muppets Most Wanted. A production of Buena Vista, Muppets Most Wanted garnered $16.514 million from 3,194 theatres where it was exhibited in the US to be the second most watched film at the box office during the week.
And then the most patronized movie during the week was Divergent, produced by Lions Gate Studios.

The film grossed a total sum of $56 million from 3,936 cinemas where it was featured in the US to emerged Number 1 at the box office. It will interest you to know that Divergent was put together with a budget of $85 million yet it was able to make 56 million Dollars in just one week at the US box office.
