The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has approved 25 films for January 2014 with 13 films denominated in Hausa language taking the lead followed by Yoruba language movies with 8 titles.

Films denominated in English language are 3 while one is in Bini language. Some of the films were rated ‘15’. Ten films in Hausa language fell into this category, four in Yoruba language while English Language and Bini got one each.
Names of the films are Abdulmalik, Bakin Zianre, Bararo 2 (Hausa); Boripe, Kini Obinrin Fe, and Were Pataki (Yoruba), Uwagiahanor (Bini) and Spycing (English)
Acting Head Corporate Affairs, Mr. Caesar Kagbo said films rated in this category are either fetish or have content dealing with rituals, violence and issues related to the use of drugs.
In the ‘18’ category are four Hausa films, three in Yoruba and two others denominated in English Language. The films are Secret Room, Another Target (English); Fatimah, Aduke Ijogbon (Yoruba) and Akwati Maciji and Waye Adali (Hausa).
