Management of Telegraph Newspaper has unveiled members of the management and editorial staff.
Telegraph Newspaper Unveils Editorial Team
The team include, former Editor National Mirror, Mr. Bolaji Tunji who is an experienced journalist. He was the founding Editor of Breaking News, a defunct evening newspaper on the stable of Independent Nigeria Limited(INL) before moving to Nation newspaper as Saturday Editor. He later joined National Mirror as Editor, Saturday before his elevation to Editor of National Mirror Newspapers.
He is Managing Director of Telegraph. Another experienced hand is the former Editor Compass Newspaper, Mr. Gabriel Akinadewo who is editing Telegraph. Akinadewo is one of the most vibrant editors in Nigeria today, after rising through the ranks in the defunct Comet Newspaper that transformed into the The Nation newspaper as Group Political Editor. He is perhaps one of the most influential Editors on the stable based on the stunt he pulled in The Nation, where he took away almost all line editors, reporters and graphics men to jump-start the dread Compass Newspaper, which is now unfortunately defunct. Not his fault, top management failed to allow him and other editors run the paper as professionals. He resigned and set up Freedom Online before joining Telegraph as Editor.
Mr. Biodun Durojaiye, former News Editor, Compass also resigned from Compass Newspaper when he saw that the paper was going downhill due to attitude of top management to editorial content. He is News Editor, Telegraph.
It appears to be a crack team capable of delivering one of the best brand of journalism in the country.
