It was another beautiful week at the Box Office during the week with major film distributors having cause to smile to the banks in the US.
Ride Along Overtakes Lone Survivor with $41,237 at Box Office
Frozen was still in contention in the top five at the box office where it yielded $11, 971,000 after passing through 2,979 viewing centres in the US to make it to number five on the chart. Buena Vista is in charge of distribution.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is number two on the chart. It was able to reward Paramount Pictures which distributed it with $17, 200,000 after featuring 3,387 cinema homes in the US to get to that spot on the chart. At number three is The Nut Job, which is distributed by Open Road Film(ORF).
The Nut Job rewarded ORF with a total sum of $20, 550,000 after public exhibition in 3,427 viewing centres in the US to make it to number 3 on the chart.
Lone Survivor which was number one on the box office chart the previous week was pushed to number 2 this week when sales dropped to $23, 239,000 at the box office after featuring in 2,989 theatres in the US to occupy the second spot on the chart. Lone Survivor is being distributed by Universal Pictures.
But the most patronised film on the chart during the week is Ride Along.
That film was able to rake the sum of $41,237,000 from the 2,663 cinemas where it exhibited in the US to hit number one on the US box office chart. Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film was put together with just $25 million and in just 3 days it made the sum of $41, 237,000 from the box office.
