But he is not priding himself as the first person to set up a film village in Nigeria. According to him, the Late Hubert Ogunde remains the first person to set up one.

“You need to take a film and use it as a test case because when you say you are doing a film village, you have to have a film studio and you have to tell people that this film was done there. So you use your film as the foundation for the film village”, he said adding that he was forced to set up locations all over Ikorodu, Epe and Ilorin”, due to lack of a Film Village. He told our correspondent that he went through hell with those location that it was quite a lesson for him.

As at December when he spoke to our correspondent, he said the venues is already being weeded in preparation for the construction.

“We want to establish a film village at Lekki, they are clearing the land now after that we will start putting the potacabin, after the potacarbin, we start building the hall itself”, he said.

Lasode is doing the project in conjunction with Desmond Majekodunmi adding that the film village should be completed by the second week of January.
For those who are worried that Sango, his epic film is no where to be found, he said it is such because the film was caught up with technology.

“You know there was a transition from Home VCD to DVD and all the films I have been doing have been on VCD. So they got caught up with the technological age”, he said.
