It was another nightmare for the Afrobeat singer, Femi Anikulapo Kuti who lost out at the 56 Grammy award held on Sunday at The Staple Centre in Los Angeles, United States.

Femi’s album, ‘No Place For My Dream’ was nominated for Best World Album category but he lost to the duo of Gipsy Kings and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Gipsy Kings is a French musical group while Ladysmith Black Mambazo is from South Africa. The winning tracks are Savor Flamenco (Gipsy ) and Singing for Peace Around the World ( Ladysmith).

This is the fourth time that the Afrobeat singer would be nominated for the award. He was not present at the ceremony he told journalists prior to the award that his sister, Yeni Kuti would represent him.
