PDP YOUTHS, WOMEN CONDEMN ATIKU, GOVERNORS FOR STAGING INSURRECTION

Youths and women groups in the Peoples Democratic Party today rose from a one day seminar in Abuja, condemning former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and six governors in the North for orchestrating division in the party.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the youths and women condemn attempt by the group to subvert the unity and cohesion of the party. “We strongly resolve on the imperative of unity and cohesion of our great party to enable it sustain the stability of the nation and her democracy hence the need for all members to ventilate all grievances through our internal mechanism for conflict resolution.

“We strongly condemn the attempt by some members our party to subvert the unity and cohesion of the PDP.  We neither wish to re-emphasise the position of the National Working Committee that the PDP has no faction that there is clearly neither reason nor room for such”, the participants said and alerted all youths and women in the country of attempt by some individuals, working with opposition to cause division in the party.

“The women and youths of PDP only recognise one indivisible Peoples Democratic Party ably led by our indefatigable national chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur”, the participants said and reassured Nigerians of their believe in President Goodluck Jonathan  to deliver on his electioneering promises as well as chairman of the party to take PDP to greater height.
