Intercontinental Group of Hotels has formerly kicked-off business in Lagos. The hotel, a beautiful structure, is a 23 floor complex built at a total cost of N30 billion.

The hotel has 358 rooms and 37 suites including a presidential suit. It has a swimming pool on the fifth floor, a standard gymnasium and a spar. Situated on Kofo Abayomi Street in Victoria Island, Lagos, each of the room is equipped with a plasma television set, telephone facilities which offers the business client ample opportunity to preview his presentation before leaving the hotel.
Besides, the rooms offer Bose Music system and Nespresso Coffee Station in each of the room. Besides the hotel which boasts of a centre that offer sitting capacity to well over 1000 people at a stretch with underground parking facility for over 200 vehicles. The hotel also offers visitors an aerial view of Lagos Lagoon, the entire Victoria Island up to Apapa.
Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director, Milan Group, owners of the Intercontinental Group of Hotels, Mr. Ramesh Valeja said the deal to set up the hotel was signed some 10 years ago adding that the project came to reality with the support from Nigerian banks and the Lagos State Government. He said the Five Star hotel, has employed at least 650 Nigerians.The hotel was inaugurated by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola on Sunday in Lagos.
Room rates which are usually paid in US Dollars range from N80,000 to N700,000 per night for the Presidential suit, with some variations during the week and at the weekend.
