World champions, Spain today failed to live up to their rating as world number one when they were walloped 3 – 0 by Brazil in the  confederation cup put together by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

Held in Rio De Geneiro, the Brazilians who have never been beaten in Rio continued to maintain a clean slate when they dictated the pace throughout the  duration of the match.

Fred, put Brazil in the lead when he scored the in the 2nd minutes. Neymah made it 2 in the 44th minutes while Fred made it 3 in the 47th minutes, just two minutes into the second half.

Spain however lost the major chance to pull one goal back when Segio Ramous failed to score the penalty kick awarded against the samba boys. Gerald pique was however sent out of the match when he brought down goal-bound Neymah in the 68th minutes.
