MAGODO, Lagos, Nigeria – At least two people are feared dead and many others injured when a gas station situated on CMD Road, Magodo exploded in the early hours of Monday.
The fire incident, we gathered caused a lot of commotion in the area, leading to heavy traffic build up around the gas station called Second Coming.
So far, officials of the Lagos State Fire Service are on ground as well as those from Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA working to restore normalcy to the area.
We gathered that CMD has been condoned off to keep motorists and commuters safe.
Speaking on TVC, General Manager, LASEMA, Engineer Tiamiyu Adesina said the situation is now under control, adding that damping is ongoing and that a statement will soon be issued on the incident. He said he could not speak on the cause of the incident since investigation is still ongoing.
