LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 98 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 168, 540. But out of the 168, 540 all time cases, 164, 431 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 122 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1987 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
“NCDC: 98 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos- 94, Ekiti – 3, FCT – 1: 168, 540 confirmed; 164, 431 discharged; 2, 122 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
Globally, there are now 186, 301,592 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,022,464 patients have passed on, while 3,412,397,876 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 33, 844, 186 confirmed cases, while 607, 092 patients have passed on(33, 282 new cases *), followed by India, which has reported 30, 795, 716 confirmed cases, while 407, 145 patients have died(42, 766 new cases and 1206 deaths*), and Brazil which has reported 19, 020, 499 all time infections, while 531,688 lives have perished.
France has come up as the 4th country most affected, now reporting 5, 870, 463 confirmations and 111, 511 deaths(4696 new cases and 19 deaths*), followed by Russia with 5, 688,807 confirmed cases, while 139, 896 patients are now dead(44,607 new cases and 740 deaths*), and Turkey which has documented 5, 465, 094 all time infections, while 50, 096 lives are no more.
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 107, 767 all time cases, while 128, 665 patients have perished(32, 154 new cases and 35 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has registered 4, 627, 537 all time cases, while 98, 148 lives have perished(14, 518 new cases and 244 deaths*) and Colombia with 4, 471, 622 confirmations, while 111, 731 patients are now dead(21, 536 new cases and 576 deaths*).
Italy has come up as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 269, 885 all time cases, while 127, 768 patients have passed on(1394 new cases and 12 deaths*) and South Africa, now 18th among country most afflicted, reporting 2, 179, 297 all time cases, while 64, 138 patients are no more(21, 610 new cases and 265 deaths*).
