LAGOS, Nigeria – European league champion, Manchester United has been rated by Forbes as the richest football club. The club according to Forbes is worth $3.69 billion (about £2.86 billion).
Trailing the club is FC Barcelona in the second place with value put at $3.64bn (about £2.82bn), followed by Real Madrid worth $3.58bn (£2.77bn) in the third place.
Six English clubs were in the top 10, with Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham joining Manchester United.
German champions Bayern Munich were fourth, while Italian title winners Juventus occupies the ninth position. Napoli is listed as the list with $379m (£294m).
