LAGOS, Nigeria – Special Adviser to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina today advanced reasons for the high cost of Kerosene in the country.





Kerosene currently sells for as high as N300 to N400 per liter.
But speaking on City FM today, he said it was so because in December, all the three refineries where shut down and where not producing Kerosene adding that the situation has now changed and that the refineries are back and now producing at full capacity.

On why President Muhammadu Buhari chose to spend his vacation in London, contrary to his slogan change begins with me and buy made in Nigeria, the spokesman said the President is at liberty to do his vacation anywhere he chooses and that since he was also going for medical checkup, London was the right choice since he had been receiving treatment in London even before he was elected.

He said it is better to be attended to by doctors who know your medical history. He said it is bad If Nigerians are bitter with the President for his economic policy but that the they should thank God instead of being bitter.

He said the President is aware that Nigerians are hungry but that he is up to the task. On refusal to change cabinet members for perceived non performance he said there is timelines for deliverables and that the President remains the only person to assess them.




“The people will ventilate their grievance but he is the one who appointed them, he is the one to assess them”, he said.
On clearance of Acting EFCC chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, he said the President directed investigation into allegations leveled against him and found him clean.

He said the N40 million house Magu is living is paid for by FCDA paid based on documents from FCDA and that he was never indicted by during the tenure of former EFCC chairman, Farida Waziri.
