Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The garden city, Port Harcourt will come alive with memories of the Late Captain Elechi Amadi on Saturday, 26th November, when friends and associates will come together in a tribute in honour of the late literary guru.

Put together by Rivers State Indigenous Visual Artists in collaboration with Alliance Francais and Rainbow Book Club, the event will hold at 4pm at the Alliance Francais, 20 Herbert Macaulay Street, Amadi Flats, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.

The event which will also feature exhibition has the theme “An exhibition of contemporary
Arts and A tribute evening.

Amadi who died in June 2016, was author of so many books. His literary works include The Concubine (novel) London: Heinemann (1966) which was ssed as WAEC Exam Text for 30 years, The Great Ponds (novel) London: Heinemann (1969), The Slave (novel) London; Heinemann (1977) and Estrangement (novel) London: Heinemann (1987).
