December 16, 2015 – Pro-Biafra group today made good their vow to agitate when they stormed Alaba International Market, Ojo , Lagos protesting continued detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

They protested just as a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, presided over by Shuaibu Usman released the Biafra Leader and Director of Radio Biafra.
The Chief Magistrate released Kanu, after the Department of State Security Service (DSS) said it has dropped all charges against the Biafran leader.

Kanu was initially charged with criminal conspiracy and ownership of an unlawful society
The traders marched in large number through Alaba and the Mile 2 Badagry Expressway, causing heavy vehicular movement in the area.

They chanted solidarity songs demanding unconditional dismissal of the case against the Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, noting that they will continue to agitate daily until Kanu is released.

” We have been pushed into protesting. Why will the government the persecuting the Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu. People have the right to voice out their opinion. He was not a threat at all.

“ As we were still protesting we were told that the case against the director had been struck out. We pray so and if that is the truth the problem is over”, Anayo said.

“We were singing solidarity songs, and marched through the streets to express our grievance on the trial of Nnamdi Kanu. We all dispersed when news came in around 1pm that he had been freed from the court trial,” he added.
