IKOYI, Lagos, Nigeria – Number 16 Osborne Road hitherto a serene place inhabited by the super rich has become very notorious in recent times following the discovery of $43. 4 million, £27, 800 Pounds and N23.2 million, totaling about N3 billion in Flat 7B.
Till date, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has not been able to pin the money to any individual.
What has come out is speculation about occupants of the now notorious mansion on 16 Osborne, Ikoyi, Lagos. Only for the Director General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA to claim that it warehoused the funds in flat 7B pending when the funds which he said was for an operation would be moved to a more permanent location.
The building, owned by a former Peoples Democratic Party chairman, Adamu Muazu, has nine floors of 19 apartments and two penthouses. He also retains the penthouses, 10A and B as well as apartments 11A and 11B for himself.
According to SaharaReporters, those living in the building include former Guaranty Trust Bank chairman, Fola Adeola, who occupies apartment 1A, and former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi and his wife, who are owners of apartment 1B.
