OJO, Lagos, Nigeria – Senate of the Lagos State University has expelled four students for various offences.
The Senate arrived at the decision at its 238th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday, 27th April, 2017, during which it ratified the recommendation of the Committee of Provost, Deans, and Directors (COPDD) on misconduct of some students in accordance with the University regulations.
“After due process, the students listed below were found culpable of involvement in cult related activities, which is against the laws of the University”, the school said. The affected students are Adebomehin Ridwan Opeyemi , Oladele Olalekan (140813069) and Macaulay Mefoyan (160812059)
The senate also ratified the recommendation of the Committee of Provost, Deans and Directors on Misconduct to rusticate Balogun, Anwar Oluwashina with Matriculation Number: 150621017, Department of Geography and Planning, Faculty of Social Sciences for One [1] Session.
He was found culpable of forgery, after due process, in accordance with the University Regulations. The university also warned 17 other students for various offences.
The University Authority has requested Balogun, Anwar Oluwashina and others to submit any University property in his possession including his Identity Card to the Faculty Officer, Faculty of Social Sciences.
In the same vein, the University Authority has approved that the following students be WARNED on the reports of indecent dressing and wilful flagrant disobedience to the Rules and Regulations of the Institution:
