Olamide entertains spectators at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos State Government has warned trouble makers to stay away from Olamide Live Concert 4(OLIC4) coming up on Sunday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.




Commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola who gave the warning at a press conference in Lagos said everything has been put in place to make the concert memorable, adding that while everybody is invited, arrangement has also been put in place to make the occasion hitch-free.

She said the the concert taking place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium will be the biggest since the stadium has the capacity to accomodate 25, 000 spectators and wished him well.

She described Olamide as an individual who is grounded in the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s vision to take everybody along, without leaving anybody behind.

“On assumption of office, the governor promised to use tourism, entertainment and sports to turn around Lagos economy”, she said adding that government has been a pillar of support in those areas.

“Last year we supported AFRIMA, this year, we supported AMAA and AFRIMA again . Government has supported Nollywood because government believes the sector must be given attention”, she said.

She also alluded to the Lagos Street Carnival and One Lagos Fiesta, adding that the mission is to place Lagos as the most vibrant place for tourism in Africa.

Earlier, Manager of Olamide Adedeji, Mr. Alex Okeke said OLIC4 will be the most sold out concert adding that it is time for Olamide, often called Street King to give back to the street.

“We plan concert that will be hitch free with full security and logistics”, he said, stressing that the mission is to “take Lagos to the world, so that next year or next people will fly into Lagos to witness the concert and in the process making Lagos a tourist attraction”, he said.

Also speaking, Olamide said artistes doing well in the mainland will be invited, including his colleagues who have supported him in the past.
