LOS ANGELES, United States – American businessman, owner of Playboy Enterprises and publisher Playboy magazine, Hugh Hefner is dead. He was 91. He died at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.





He is survived by wife Crystal Harris and four children.The playboy magazine, which has sex as its focus sold as much as 7 million copies monthly.

He was so obsessed with sex that viagra reportedly made him deaf, but was quoted as saying, ” I’ll rather have sex than hearing”.

Hefner sold his mansion for $100 million but reached an agreement with the buyer to allow him to live in the house till death.

Born 9th April, 1926, Hefner founded Playboy magazine with $8,000 savings. The first edition had nude pictures of Marilyn Monroe and sold 50, 000 copies in 1953 and by 1971, it was selling 7 million copies per month.

His enterprises later came to include television, film, resort and night club.
