LAGOS, Nigeria – The National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB will on Thursday arraign five suspects who specialise in duplicating films and selling them to enrich themselves at the expense of the filmmakers.
They are Uchechukwu Chukwuma, Austine Ugokwe, Ugochukwu Ikwagwu, Chukuka David and Ndu Celestine.
They were arrested recently at the Alaba International Market. The five leading pirate kingpins will be arraigned at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Court 10 on Thursday 30, November 2017.
The NFVCB now led by Adedayo Thomas is saddled with the responsibility of censorship of films, and in the process making sure that the films do not offend the culture of the Nigerian people. It is also saddled with the functions of classification.
