IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Afrobeat crooner, Femi Anikulapo Kuti has lost his grandmother. Kuti who made the revelation on his social media page did not mention the name of the woman.
He however identified her as his maternal grand mother.
“Solemn moment: Yeni and Femi Anikulapo Kuti maternal grandmother passes on to eternity. May our creator grant her eternal and peaceful rest”, Femi Anikulapo Kuti said in the statement.
This is coming just weeks after Afrika Shrine where Femi Kuti and his siblings hold regular performance resumed from break.
It is not clear if her demise will affect the weekend performance at the shrine.
