LAGOS, Nigeria – Young Nation presents The Yolo Concert with Seyi Shay and friends at the Hard Rock Café, Plot No 3 & 4, Block XVI, Oniru Estate, Near Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on Monday 31st December, 2017 by 7:00pm.
The Yolo Concert is an opportunity for Seyi Shay, soulful singer, songwriter and ambassador for West Africa’s Pepsi and Gionee Mobile Phones to gear-up the New Year vibes of her fans as they dance to the melodic jams of her songs. The concert will have Beat 99.9 FM’s Maria & Osi as the hosts for the evening with a live backup performance by the Dynamic Band as Dj Neptune creates a Music Policy to usher the audience into the New Year.
This concert is powered by F3Live, supported by MusicPlus, Twenty20Media, Alp360, BellaNaija, Stargurl, Onobello in partnership with Beat 99.9 FM, Perception Media, Soundcity, The Netng and Linda Ikeji. Tickets which are N10, 000 Regular and N150, 000 for a table of 6, will be available at the Hard Rock Café.

ABOUT SEYI SHAY
Soulful singer, accomplished songwriter, and dynamic performer Deborah Oluwa-Seyi Joshua (Seyi Shay), is carving out her place among the most accomplished performers of our day. Her latest single “Yolo Yolo”, released by Island Records, is climbing the charts and her recent hit “Right Now” has risen to number 8 on UK radio.
The charismatic performer who currently holds the place as ambassador for West Africa’s Pepsi and Gionee Mobile Phones, says her passion is performing, “All I’ve ever wanted to be was a singer,” says Seyi Shay. “To bring joy to people’s faces, be it in Africa or Europe, it’s the highest calling. Seeing people in the crowd light up when they hear my songs is the greatest feeling in the world.”
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Seyi Shay began performing at just 6 years-old. At 14, she joined the internationally acclaimed London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) where she embarked on a world-wide tour that included 13 cities in Japan.
Seyi Shay’s love for music and performing has led her to write and produce for some major projects and artists including: Three songs for the Konami Game sound track “Crime Life”- The track “You Will See” performed by former Spice Girl Mel C and featured on her album Beautiful Intentions- And the international hit “White Lies” which she wrote for rapper Chipmunk and featured Koleena of Diddy’s “Dirty Money”
While writing, collaborating and performing, Seyi Shay also auditioned in the UK for the British Pop/RNB girl band “From Above” where she won the role as lead singer. The group soon signed with Sony/Columbia Records and also with Music World Entertainment owner Matthew Knowles (father and former manager of Beyonce). The group’s success was marked by the online release of Breaking From Above, an MTV reality show that aired in over 166 countries.
Her energy and charisma keep Seyi Shay at the top of her game as she moves forward with her solo career, which began with the release of the still popular “Irawo” in 2013, and her videos “Ragga Ragga” and “Murda”.
Seyi Shay continues to use her international fame to promote justice for women as she collaborates with some of the most prominent entertainers from around the world in a remake of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” video. The video, which will be presented at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, is titled “#WhatiReallyReallyWant”, and is part of Seyi Shay’s Global Goals mission to shed light on global issues and develop better solutions and more regulations for the injustices of women and young girls, world-wide poverty, and climate change.
