December 4, 2015 – Chinese President, Xi Jinping has pledged to invest $60 billion in Africa in an effort to develop the continent.
Chinese President made the announcement at the Forum on China/Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Johannesburg.
At least 35 African countries are represented at the forum.
President Xi Jinping said the money will come in form of loan which will be zero-interest, scholarships and training for thousands of Africans.
