Scores of worshipers were killed on Sunday in Chibok when members of the radical Islamic sect unleashed mayhem on five churches in Kwada village, killing tens of worshipers.

Kwada village is about 10 kilometres from Chibok where over 200 schoolgirls were abducted by the insurgents on April 14.

Sources say residents were forced to flee their home following news of the attacks in the village.

“Our people have fled into the bushes and we can only appeal that security men are immediately drafted to the town and environs,” a senior Local Government official said.

The attack is coming just few days after a popular plaza was bombed in Abuja.
