Bob Dylan wins Nobel Prize for Literature 2016

Sweden, Oct 13, 2016 – American songwriter, Bob Dylan has emerged winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature.




In a statement announcing the award, Svenska Akademien said he was picked for creating new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.

“The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2016 is awarded to Bob Dylan “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”, the statement said.
