January 28, 2015 – Fellow Nigerians, please join me in congratulating the doyen of modern Journalism in Nigeria; a man of the people and detribalized Nigerian whose patriotism and commitment to “One Nation and One Destiny” has never been in doubt.

A man who have empowered over 10,000 Nigerians across gender, ethnic, religious and tribal cleavages. A man who is also credited with changing the face of Journalism in the country. I mean a man when he talks, successive occupants of Aso Rock sneeze while Governors give him perpetual adoration and genuflection. A man who is a beacon of hope and source of inspiration to many across the globe.

A man who is a personal friend to the successive ruling class in the United States including President Barack Obama. A man who has been one of the decision makers in the country. A man that is a blessing to his friends. A man that never sacrifices merit on the altar of mediocrity. A man that is admired by his foes. A man who is a risk taker. A man that allows the young to grow. A man who has been the de facto Governor of Delta State. A man who is the envy of all and a man with an alluring pedigree.

Let’s congratulate the Chairman/Publisher of THISDAY NEWSPAPERS, Prince NDUKA OBAIGBENA for the successful berthing of ARISE TV on DSTV Channel 416 and GOTV yesterday (Tuesday January 27 2015). Let’s congratulate this man for the 20 years of robust Journalism in LEADERS & COMPANY Group.

May God continue to bless this great scion of Ika Kingdom, son of Anioma and Prince of Owa-Oyibu…

Bravo, the Duke…
