MAFA, Maiduguri, Nigeria – Not less than five people have been killed and seven others injured when suicide bombers attacked Kaleri area in Mafa Local Government, Maiduguri.
Eye witness described the attackers as four female suicide bombers who detonated their IEDs on a military checkpoint very close to where farmers were working in their farmlands.
One farmer and 4 soldiers were said to have been killed, while 7 others farmers were injured in the attack.
“At about 8:23am there was loud sound in our area so we were confused, some minutes later a second one occurred near military sand bags injuring some people. At least five people were killed including one civilian and 7 farmers were taking to the hospital. “said Ba’ Kura Muhammad.
