Lagos, Nigeria – Max International, the Glutathione Company, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, has formally announced her arrival in Nigeria, with the launch of two products, namely: Cellgevity and MAX ATP.

The colourful event which held at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos, also doubled as the official launch of Max Nigeria.

Prior to this epoch-making occasion, Max- an industry player in the production of wellness, weight-loss supplements and products since 2007- had previously launched her presence on the continent in Ghana since 2014.

According to General Manager Max International Nigeria, Pharm. ACP Augustine Kokukokor, the coming of Max International into Nigeria heralds a new dimension in the industry and raises the bar in the distribution of health-related products across the length and breadth of the country.

He said he was optimistic that Max would be a huge success irrespective of the recession being experienced in the country today.

Kokukokor said the company had made sales of its products to the tune of 100, 000 USD within a few months in the country and this, he said, makes him believe that the current recession in Nigeria today, would soon be a thing of the past.

He said aside the fact that Max’s products are sellable, his confidence also stems from the experience of his native Ghana overcoming her own recession, which she experienced some time ago. He thus concludes that, with Nigeria, it is just a passing phase.

“Though there are challenges obtaining Forex exchange at affordable rates and the problem of recession currently being experienced in Nigeria, we believe that there is hope for Nigeria and that this business will thrive in this country. Within the first three months of sales, we were able to make 100, 000 USD. This is very encouraging especially considering the present situation of things. We believe there is hope for Nigeria in the sense that, the IMF predicts a 1.7 per cent economic growth for Nigeria by 2017.

“Nigeria has also received support from China, AfDB and other institutions of repute. These are pointers that there is yet hope and that it is not all gloom and doom. Our goals are to be number one in medical nutrition supplement in the country in two years; we are also looking at a year-on-year average growth of 35 per cent in our first five years of operation. We will also be forming a Nigeria advisory council which will assist me in delivering on the mandate of the company,” he said.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Max International, Mr. Joseph Voyticky said Max is dedicated to improving everyday lives.

“This commitment can be seen in everything we do, from our products to the charity events we organize around the world. This isn’t some newfound mission; it’s been our focus from the outset. Our aim is to offer life transformation business and enhance peoples’ lives with better health and greater wealth. We believe investing in Nigeria is a wise choice,” he said.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the products, and this was done by none other than Atlanta ’96 Olympic Gold Medalist, Mrs. Chioma Ajunwa-Oparah.

The Advisory Council which was set up include: Dr. James Osolu, Dinnah Kajo, Steve Imoni, Moses Okole, Loretta Onwughalu, Dr. Victor and Sylvia Okoro, and Loliya Koko.
