President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil impeached, Michel Temer




Brazil, Sep. 01, 1016 – President Dilma Rousseff has been removed from power. The woman who has been embroiled in corruption scandal which she had denied.

Sixty-one senators voted in favour of her dismissal, while only 20 voted against it. Rousseff assumed second term in office January 01, 2015. Her impeachment is coming just about 8 months since she was sworn in.

Meanwhile, Michel Temer has been sworn in as president and will serve out Ms Rousseff’s term until 1 January 2019 when there will be another election.

Termer is a 75-year-old law professor who has played a key role in the impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff.
