April 20, 2015 – The Referees Committee of Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) has suspended, one of its referee, Mr. John Charles and Assistant Referee, Mr. Ogunta Matador until end of the current season.
Both referee were suspended for poor performance in a Glo Premier League Week 4 match on Sunday.
These officials were on duty when Sunshine Stars FC of Akure hosted Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt on Sunday and won the game 2-1.
Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh said the two officials were suspended for “gross misconduct and for performing below the required standard.
