Ambode to Provide 24 Hours Economy if Voted Governor

January 26, 2015 – Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has said that he will provide a 24 hour economy for residents of the state if he is elected as governor of the state.

Ambode who was speaking at a campaign rally in Mushin said he will make the environment more friendly for Nigerians by providing adequate security to enable them sell in their wares 24 hours a day. He said that he will create a megacity that works and transport system that will function 24 hours a day.

“We will make it more secure so that you will have a 24 hours economy in a week. So that you can move around any part of the day and night so that Mushin will be a better place to live.

“My administration if voted into office will encourage community policing and you will be the ones watching over your own locality. We are going to have community watchers we will have people here who will be engaged to watch over all of us and there will be peace and safer city to live in Mushin.

“When we are able to get a safer city here people will do their jobs and business well. Then you can work in the day and night. Our parents will be able to work safely without fear of being robbed or molested. We want a more comfortable life for all of you.”

The candidate who also promised a cleaner and more prosperous Lagos called on residents to go out and get their Permanent Voter Card(PVC) to enable them cast their votes in the February elections.

Also speaking, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola called on the people to remain calm and not yield to provocation.

He urged them not to fight since they could lose their lives and will not be alive to enjoy the fruit of their struggle. “If you fight you could lose your life and you will not be alive to rip the prosperity which we promise to offer”, he said.

The government used the occasion to outline his achievement, stressing that flooding which used to be a perennial problem in Mushin has been tackled under his government.

He said he has built 16 roads in Mushin including a flyover adding that he has also embarked on construction of estate. He said those selling building materials in Mushin supplied materials he has used in building estates in Lagos.
