November 28, 2014 – The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola may have been excluded from being among the first set of residents of Surulere to collect their Permanent Voter Card (PVC).

This is because the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cancelled distribution of PVC in his ward situated in Itola Girls High School, Surulere.

Earlier this morning when our reporter visited the ward in Surulere, INEC officials were absent. But on the board is an INEC notice apologizing for inability to distribute the PVC. INEC did not give any reason, it only advised those who registered in the ward to come for fresh registration in December 3rd, 2014.

Most of those who turned up to collect the PVC left disappointed.
However, INEC officials were spotted in other areas. They were found at the ward in Eko Club Surulere waiting for residents to come and collect their PVC.
